I hope that you will enjoy a few days off this week. This rainy weather is a great time to read! I also hear that the new movie, Martian, is good.

Thanks for watching The Giver with me on Friday. I had never seen the movie. I liked it, but not nearly as much as the book. I thought that the change in Jonas happened too quickly.

Your homework before Wednesday is:

1. Finish reading The Giver. Use reading guides to help you annotate.

2. Study vocabulary.

3. Finish your hero story. (I know I still have to return a few of these!)
