I hope that you enjoy MLK Day tomorrow. The workshops will be interesting.


I also hope that you enjoy the three day weekend! Be sure to read your books and walk and talk to friends and exercise and have some fun.


Homework:


Please read the new passage from The Letter from the Birmingham Jail that I posted under the MLK link.
Paraphrase the letter. Type your paraphrase.


Then, please begin reading our new play, Antigone, that I posted under the Ancient Greece heading. Please read scenes 1 - 3. Be sure to annotate. Look for differences in opinion about Logos (the laws of justice or God) and Nomos (the laws of the state). Try to relate what Creon and Antigone say to Socrates and MLK.


If you have extra time to study the review terms please do that also.
